Jade almost didn’t compete but is very glad they did! After many 13 hour days in the clinic focusing on their competition piece, they sent it off to Germany to be judged and scored.
Leading up to the competition, Jade took vigorous international training in both the USA and Switzerland, and decided to compete for the first time after friends and collegues encouraged them to.
Jade is the first Canadian to win the KZW award and is humbled to have been a participant alongside so many incredible prosthetic makers. It is a lifelong dream to be recognized for their passion, and helps emphasize the skills they bring their patients care.
International First Place Winner of KZW Award of 2025
“The KZW Award, or KunstZahnWerk Award, is a prestigious international competition focused on full denture prosthetics, organized by CANDULOR AG. It challenges dental technicians, denturists and prosthodontists to create aesthetically pleasing and functionally sound full dentures based on a specific and challenging patient case. The competition emphasizes the importance of model analysis, documentation, and the application of prosthetic technical expertise.”
There were 125 submissions from 6 continents and 21 countries. Of this, 62 of the most skilled prosthetic makers challenged the competition.
Each year Edify magazine recognizes Edmonton’s most innovative, up and coming talent in the city and recognizes them for their excellence in their field.
Nominated and judged, Jade is one of 40 that was picked to be recognized for their leadership in the dental industry, and commitment to their vocation.
